6 iphone apps that could save your life

Here are 6 iphone apps that could possibly save you life one day...

6. iSurvive

You’re lost in the woods and don’t know what to do. Don’t panic. iSurvive contains all of the information essential to your survival. In easy to understand language and detailed diagrams, this app will tell you how to tie knots, construct a shelter, set a snare and so much more.

5. Email’n Walk

Don't get run over by a bus when composing an email on the go! Instead, have Email 'n Walk provide a view of what's in your path using your iPhone's camera. Plus this app is just cool, but i still would try using it if you are driving.

4. AroundMe

Ensure you don't run out of petrol and starve to death on the M4 by using AroundMe to find your nearest petrol station. (And for Apple fan-boys who can't go two days without treading the hallowed halls of an Apple Store, AroundMe also enables you to find your nearest House of Mike in an instant.)

3. Darkness

Use Darkness to know when the sun's going to vanish and be replaced by inky blackness, thereby avoiding vampires, werewolves, and killing yourself by falling down an extremely steep hill in Devil's Punchbowl. Not that this writer was dumb enough to nearly do the last of those earlier this year...

2. vFlashlight

Two for the price of one: use vFlashlight at night to avoid breaking your neck falling down the stairs if you need the loo/a snack/to pretend you're burgling your own house; and use the strobe mode to distract ravers who are trying to mug you. When they start dancing, run like hell.

1. My Town

Wake up in the middle of the night to a fire or the sound of a burglar? Don’t panic. Simply reach for your iPhone and One-Tap Dial the fire or police department. No need to look up their numbers, because you already input them into My Town! On a trip and worried because you can’t reach an elderly relative or parent, and you can’t remember their neighbor’s name? Don’t worry. You’ve already done the research and put it into My Town! Simply reach for your iPhone and One-Tap Dial their neighbor or caretaker.

5 great iphone games

I have gone through hundreds of iPhone games and apps (because I love games) and here are 5 of my favorite iphone or iPod touch games that I have found.

5
Dungeon Hunter:
$6.99 by Gameloft

This game is a classic fantasy-style dungeon crawl that owes a lot to games like Diablo. Gameloft's Dungeon Hunter is an impressive action RPG with plenty of variety to the combat, and a satisfying amount of loot to collect. The game was designed with two different control schemes in mind; a PC style point and tap, or a console-like virtual d-pad. Both work admirably, and keep the pace moving along at a comfortable pace.

4
Real Racing:
$6.99 by Firemint

This is one of the best racing games for iPhone hands down. Real Racing was one of the first attempts to bring a Gran Turismo or Forza style racing experience to the iPhone. The game manages acceleration for you - you just brake and steer. If you're wary about dropping $6.99 on the full game, you can check out the promotional version that Firemint produced with Volkswagen for the new Golf GTi, which is currently free on the app store.

3
Rock Band:
$9.99 by Electronic Arts

Your initial $9.99 for Rock Band on the iPhone gets you 20 songs, and a remarkably full-featured representation of the console game experience. You only have four buttons to worry about rather than five, but the game does an great job of bringing all four talents onto the mobile platform, even singing. EA is already supporting the game with down-loadable content, and there's more set to come on a regular basis.

2
Worms:
$4.99 by Team 17

Worms is a 2D, turn-based, cartoon-style strategic combat game that has a lot in common with the old tank-battle games from years ago where you throw shells up into the air and tried to hit guys on the other side of a map. Here, players take it in terms to move their worm soldiers around the randomly-generated terrain and systematically eliminate the opposing teams with a wide assortment of wacky weaponry. Sure, you can use something boring like a gun, or grenade - but wouldn't you rather blow someone up with an exploding sheep?

1
Doom Resurrection:
$9.99 by Gameloft

The gameplay of Doom is awesome. There are a large number of different hell-spawn to defeat and many weapons, including a standard assault rifle, shotgun, and mini-gun, to help you in your mission. Different enemies often can be defeated more easily using a specific weapon, although you probably will revert back to the assault rifle for much of the game, since the other types of ammo can be quickly used up if you are not careful. As in many other games, head shots kill an enemy much more quickly than normal body shots. This gameplay mechanic ultimately makes you feel as if you have more control over precise shooting rather than just button mashing and letting the computer take care of the hard parts.
